BBM Akan Hadir di Android dan iOS!



Kabar mengejutkan baru saja dihadirkan oleh produsen smartphone terkemuka asal Amerika Serikat, BlackBerry! Perusahaan tersebut baru mengumumkan bahwa aplikasi instant messaging populer yang selama ini hanya ada di perangkat buatan mereka, BlackBerry Messenger, akan hadir di platform smartphone lain, yaitu iOS dan Android!

Dalam sebuah presentasi yang dibawakan di acara tahunan Blackberry Live 2013, CEO BlackBerry, Thorsten Heins, memberikan kepastian bahwa aplikasi instant messaging tersebut akan hadir sebagai aplikasi third party di perangkat dengan sistem operasi iOS dan Android. Aplikasi BlackBerry Messenger tersebut akan hadir di kedua platform tersebut pada musim panas tahun ini yang berarti di sekitar bulan Juli atau Agustus tahun ini.

Menurut informasi dari pihak BlackBerry, versi perdana BBM untuk iOS dan Android akan mengusung beberapa kemampuan dasar instant messaging itu, seperti personal chat, multiperson chat, voice note, serta BBM Group. Fitur-fitur lain yang saat ini sudah ada di BBM di perangkat BlackBerry, seperti voice call, video call, screenshare, dan BBM Channel akan hadir sebagai update di waktu yang akan datang.

Untuk spesifikasi minimal perangkat dengan iOS dan Android, pihak BlackBerry mensyaratkan penggunaan sistem operasi minimal iOS 6.0 untuk perangkat iPhone, serta Ice Cream Sandwich untuk perangkat berbasis Android.
